About · 404Mods
Made by the people who play.
Free modding, made by the people who play: mods, FivePD, and the tools and platform we build around them.
Every mod free. Every creator credited.
404Mods is a free platform for modding. Creators share what they make, players download it at no cost, and every upload is checked before it goes live, with the credit kept by the person who made it.
It is run by 404 Development, the studio behind FivePD and the 404 Studios mods. From here we are building more of our own: a suite of tools for making and running mods, and a platform for creators and the communities that play their work.
The story so far
02 · Where it came from- 01
Start
GTAPoliceMods
It began as GTAPoliceMods: a site for sharing police vehicles and scripts for Grand Theft Auto, which grew into a home for the emergency modding community.
- 02
2020
GPM acquires FivePD
FivePD, a police gamemode for FiveM begun in late 2019, was acquired by GTAPoliceMods in January and had its first public beta that spring.
- 03
2026
Rebranded to 404Mods
GTAPoliceMods became 404Mods: rebuilt from the ground up as a home for mods for any game, with sign-in through Discord and a profile for every creator.
03 · Made here
FivePD
FivePD is 404Mods' own police gamemode for FiveM. It puts you on duty on a multiplayer server: take callouts, run traffic stops, join pursuits and patrol with friends.
Server owners build on it with callouts and plugins made by the community, many of them shared here. Its home on this site has the releases, the documentation and a browser of the servers that run it.
04 · Who runs it
A small team from its own community
404Mods is run by a small team from its own community: the people who review uploads, moderate, and build the site. See who they are, and who to ask for what.
