1General Information

Guideline 1.1

Community Guidelines Overview

Welcome to GTAPoliceMods (GPM), a community for sharing Grand Theft Auto modifications, supporting developers, and connecting players.

These Community Guidelines apply to activity on the GPM website, official GPM Discord servers, and other services operated by GPM. They work alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By using GPM, you agree to follow the applicable rules.

Members are responsible for their own accounts, submissions, and interactions. The Community Team may remove content or take proportionate moderation action, including warnings, restrictions, suspensions, and bans, in accordance with the Terms of Use.

We may update these guidelines as the platform evolves. Published revisions appear in the Guideline Change Log; material changes to what is permitted will be announced before taking effect. Our goal is a respectful, safe, and constructive community for creators and players.

Guideline 1.2

Conduct Outside GTAPoliceMods

GPM generally moderates behavior that occurs on the services we operate. We do not enforce the rules of unrelated websites, Discord servers, or communities, and we do not normally intervene in private disputes between their members.

We may consider credible off-platform conduct when it creates a direct and significant safety risk to GPM members or operations. This may include targeted threats, doxxing, leaking of modifications, coordinated harassment, impersonation used to harm members, or attempts to evade a GPM moderation decision. Decisions will consider the evidence, connection to GPM, severity, and our ability to verify the report.

Private commercial disagreements or allegations that someone broke another community's rules are not, by themselves, grounds for action on GPM. Intellectual-property complaints involving content hosted here should use our copyright reporting process; urgent threats should also be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Allowed

  • Reporting a credible threat directed at a GPM member, with relevant evidence.
  • Resolving an unrelated server dispute through that server's own staff.

Not allowed

  • Using GPM reports to retaliate for an unrelated personal argument.
  • Doxxing or directing targeted harassment at members from another platform.

2Accounts & Profiles

Guideline 2.1

Accounts and Registration

You must be at least 13 years old to hold a GPM account. At the time of writing this policy, accounts are created through Discord sign-in; one person may maintain one GPM account. Browsing public content does not require registration, but downloading, uploading, commenting, and other account actions do.

Keep your Discord account secure, enable two-factor authentication, add a recovery email, and do not share or transfer your account. You are responsible for activity performed through it. Do not impersonate another person or organization, provide deliberately false information during required verification, or create another account to bypass a restriction or ban.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@gtapolicemods.com. Account restrictions and deletions are handled according to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Allowed

  • Creating one personal account using your own Discord sign-in.
  • Reporting suspicious activity on your account promptly.

Not allowed

  • Sharing an account with another person.
  • Creating an alternate account to evade a suspension or ban.
  • Impersonating a developer, staff member, or organization.

Guideline 2.2

Verification and Account Badges

Verification indicators and account badges identify specific statuses granted or confirmed by GPM; they are not a guarantee that a member, creator, or organization is trustworthy, endorsed, or free from moderation.

Members must provide truthful information when applying for an available verification program. Do not imitate verification marks, staff insignia, organizational affiliations, or special roles to mislead others. Badges are assigned according to the requirements of the relevant program and may be removed if those requirements are no longer met or if the account violates applicable rules.

Professional or service-status verification, when offered, follows the process disclosed for that badge. Do not send identity documents or other sensitive personal information to staff through unsolicited messages.

Allowed

  • Using an account badge that GPM legitimately issued.
  • Correcting inaccurate profile or affiliation information.

Not allowed

  • Faking a verification badge in a profile photo.
  • Claiming to be GPM staff or an endorsed partner without authorization.
  • Submitting another person's credentials.

Guideline 2.3

Community Roles and Special Status

Certain accounts may display roles or distinctions such as Community Team, developer recognition, or other designated community statuses. Roles identify responsibilities or achievements within GPM; unless specifically stated, they do not imply endorsement of a user's projects, products, opinions, or external communities.

All members, including role holders, must follow the same Community Guidelines. Role holders may be subject to additional role-specific expectations. Do not misrepresent a voluntary role as employment, impersonate staff, or claim moderation authority you have not been given.

GPM may modify or revoke special status when eligibility ends, the role is discontinued, or relevant standards are violated. Official moderation decisions are made only by authorized staff through GPM's recognized systems.

Allowed

  • Accurately identifying yourself as a GPM Community Team member if appointed.
  • Displaying a legitimately earned developer distinction.

Not allowed

  • Claiming you can ban users or approve files without authorization.
  • Using a badge to suggest GPM endorses an unrelated paid product.

Guideline 2.4

Medals, Recognition, and Reputation

GPM medals, badges, and reputation recognize participation and achievements in the community. They are cosmetic or recognition features and do not exempt a member from the Community Guidelines, guarantee staff endorsement, or provide ownership of a GPM service.

Members must earn or receive medals through the applicable published requirements. Do not falsify evidence, impersonate a qualified member, buy or sell recognition, or manipulate engagement to obtain an award. Medals may be corrected or revoked if awarded in error or obtained fraudulently.

Limited-time awards, including First on Scene, are issued under their published eligibility rules. Eligibility for one promotion does not imply eligibility for future awards. Transfer or gifting is not available unless a specific feature explicitly permits it.

Allowed

  • Receiving a medal through a published achievement or promotion.
  • Reporting an award mistakenly issued to your account.

Not allowed

  • Selling medals or manufacturing evidence to claim them.
  • Using alternate accounts to farm reputation or awards.
  • Claiming a medal means GPM endorses your business.

3Community Conduct

Guideline 3.1

Harassment, Threats, and Discrimination

Treat other members, developers, and staff with respect. Harassment, intimidation, credible threats, hateful conduct, sexual harassment, and targeted abuse are prohibited. This includes repeated unwanted contact, slurs directed at protected groups, coordinated attacks, and attempts to expose someone else's private information.

Disagreement, criticism of a mod, and good-faith debate are allowed. Address the content or behavior at issue rather than attacking the individual. A single severe incident may warrant action even without repeated behavior.

If you encounter harassment, preserve relevant evidence and use the report function instead of escalating the conflict. We review the context and seriousness of reports before taking action.

Allowed

  • Constructive criticism of a mod or community decision.
  • Respectfully disagreeing with another member.
  • Blocking or reporting abusive behavior.

Not allowed

  • Threatening violence or encouraging others to target a member.
  • Posting discriminatory slurs or sexual harassment.
  • Publishing private contact details without permission.

Guideline 3.2

Spam, Low-Quality Content, and Disruption

Posts, comments, mod descriptions, and uploads should contribute meaningfully to the community. Provide enough context for others to understand your question, feedback, or work. Repetitive posts, mass mentions, misleading titles, deliberate baiting, and promotional spam may be removed.

Constructive criticism and beginner questions are welcome. Content is not a violation merely because it is simple, unfinished, or created by someone learning to mod. However, knowingly unusable uploads, empty file listings, misleading screenshots, or repeated attempts to inflate engagement may be restricted. Staff have the final say on determining low-quality content.

Before posting, check for an appropriate category or existing discussion. Make edits or updates to an existing listing when that is more useful than creating repeated copies.

Allowed

  • Asking a focused question with relevant details.
  • Sharing a work-in-progress mod and clearly labeling its limitations.
  • Offering respectful, specific feedback.

Not allowed

  • Reposting the same message or file repeatedly.
  • Creating misleading download listings or empty uploads.
  • Using bots or coordinated activity to manipulate reactions or rankings.

Guideline 3.3

Direct Messages and Private Communications

Treat private communications with the same respect as public discussions. Do not use GPM-related messaging or the official Discord server to harass, threaten, scam, solicit unwanted payments, or send repeated unsolicited promotions.

Respect others' privacy. Do not publish private conversations or personally identifying information to embarrass, intimidate, or target someone. Sharing relevant excerpts with GPM staff to report misconduct, or with authorities when appropriate, is permitted.

Discord direct messages and communications on third-party services are not operated by GPM. GPM will review reports involving them only when the conduct has a sufficiently direct connection to our community or creates a meaningful safety concern. We cannot guarantee access to messages exchanged elsewhere.

Allowed

  • Sharing message excerpts privately with staff when making a genuine report.
  • Asking someone for permission before publicly quoting a private discussion.

Not allowed

  • Sending repeated unwanted messages after being asked to stop.
  • Publishing a member's private messages to incite harassment.
  • Sending unsolicited commercial pitches or scams.

Guideline 3.4

Member-Generated Content

Member-generated content includes comments, descriptions, reviews, images, profiles, uploads, and posts on GPM-operated services. Content must follow these guidelines, respect others' rights, and be placed in relevant categories.

Do not post illegal content, explicit sexual material, hateful attacks, threats, personal information without authorization, scams, or instructions intended to harm other users. Do not manipulate votes, reactions, reviews, follows, or reputation through coercion or artificial activity.

Discussion of controversial or political subjects is not automatically prohibited, but it must remain relevant, civil, and consistent with the rest of these guidelines. GPM may remove content that is misleading, unsafe, or unrelated to the purpose of the service where it was posted.

Allowed

  • Posting relevant discussion and properly credited images.
  • Offering honest reviews and criticism.
  • Discussing sensitive subjects respectfully when relevant.

Not allowed

  • Posting pornography, doxxing, or threatening content.
  • Buying or coordinating fake reactions or reviews.
  • Posting fraudulent links or impersonating another creator.

4Mods & Downloads

Guideline 4.1

Mod Uploads and Submission Requirements

Upload only files you created or are authorized to distribute. You are responsible for every included asset, script, dependency, and component. Do not submit stolen, leaked, ripped, paid, or otherwise unauthorized assets; malware; deceptive installers; or files that behave in ways not disclosed on their page.

A submission must have an accurate title, the appropriate game/category, a useful description, supported versions or requirements where relevant, and representative preview images for visual mods. Credit collaborators and third-party assets clearly. Disclose important dependencies and installation steps.

The actual downloadable mod must be hosted through GPM's approved upload process; do not submit a placeholder whose sole purpose is to send members to an off-site download or payment gateway. File authors may specify additional usage terms on the mod page, but these cannot override GPM's free-download requirement or its Terms of Use.

GPM reviews uploads before publication and may reject, hide, or remove files that fail these requirements. Approval does not make GPM responsible for the uploaded content.

Allowed

  • Posting a complete, free mod with screenshots, instructions, and credits.
  • Uploading an authorized collaboration with documented permissions.
  • Describing optional compatible dependencies accurately.

Not allowed

  • Uploading leaked or paid assets without permission.
  • Requiring purchase before a hosted mod will function as advertised.
  • Linking only to an external paid download instead of uploading the file.
  • Concealing malicious or unexpected behavior.

Guideline 4.3

Downloading and Using Mods

All mods hosted on GTAPoliceMods are free to download for members. Files are created by their authors, and downloading a mod does not transfer ownership or permission to redistribute it.

Unless the author specifies additional permissions on the file page, you may install and use the mod for your own gameplay but may not reupload, sell, or present it as your work. If applicable, respect the author's stated license where consistent with GPM policy and applicable law. Ask the author if permission is unclear.

Mods are used at your own risk. Back up relevant game/server files before installing anything. Do not use mods in online services where they are prohibited, or use them to unfairly interfere with other players. GPM's Terms of Use explain the limits of our file-review process.

Allowed

  • Downloading a free mod to install and use personally.
  • Asking an author for permission to redistribute or adapt a release.

Not allowed

  • Reuploading someone else's mod without authorization.
  • Charging for access to a GPM-hosted mod.
  • Passing off a downloaded file as your own creation.

5Moderation & Support

Guideline 5.1

Reporting Guideline Violations

Members are encouraged to report content or behavior they reasonably believe violates these guidelines. Use the report control associated with the relevant mod, comment, profile, or community content whenever available. For safety concerns or cases without a report control, contact GPM through the appropriate support channel.

Describe the issue accurately, select the closest available reason, and provide relevant links, screenshots, or context. A report is a request for review—not a guarantee that action will be taken or that the reporter will receive private details about another member.

Do not knowingly submit false reports, coordinate mass reporting to silence others, or repeatedly report the same matter without new evidence. Good-faith reports will not be penalized simply because staff find no violation.

Allowed

  • Reporting a suspicious download with a clear description and link.
  • Reporting suspected harassment in good faith.

Not allowed

  • Filing fabricated reports to punish a rival developer.
  • Recruiting others to mass-report a lawful post out of disagreement.

Guideline 5.2

Appealing Moderation Decisions

Members may appeal eligible moderation decisions if they believe a mistake was made or relevant information was overlooked. Under the Terms of Use, a warning, rejected upload, removed mod, or ban may each be appealed once per decision.

Use the appeal form while signed in. If a ban prevents you from signing in, email appeals@gtapolicemods.com. Include the decision being appealed, a clear explanation, and any relevant evidence. An individual other than the original decision-maker will review the appeal.

Do not submit repeated appeals of the same decision, fabricate evidence, or pressure staff for a different outcome. An unsuccessful appeal does not authorize creating a new account to bypass a restriction.

Allowed

  • Submitting one clear appeal with screenshots or other relevant context.
  • Respectfully requesting clarification about a decision.

Not allowed

  • Filing duplicate appeals after a final decision.
  • Using alternate accounts to bypass a ban.
  • Harassing moderators about an appeal.

Guideline 5.3

Support Requests and Tickets

Use GPM's official support channels for account, moderation, upload, or platform issues. Choose the closest topic and provide a clear description of the issue, any relevant links, and steps needed to reproduce a technical problem.

Support is intended to help resolve real requests. Do not create duplicate tickets to pressure staff, submit abusive or threatening messages, impersonate others, or use support to promote products or services. Staff may close duplicate, irrelevant, or abusive requests after reviewing the context.

Never send passwords, authentication tokens, payment details, or unnecessary identity documents in a support message. For account-security concerns, contact support@gtapolicemods.com; for security vulnerabilities, contact security@gtapolicemods.com.

Allowed

  • Opening one detailed ticket about an upload or account problem.
  • Providing a reproducible bug report with useful technical context.

Not allowed

  • Opening many identical tickets to demand a different decision.
  • Sending abusive messages or sensitive login credentials to support.

Guideline 5.4

Account Deletion and Data Requests

Members may request account deletion through their account settings. Deletion is governed by the Privacy Policy, including the limited restoration period and records that must be retained for moderation, security, or legal purposes.

Deleting an account does not erase an existing ban or authorize creation of another account to evade moderation. If you cannot access your account or need help with a privacy request, contact support@gtapolicemods.com through an official support channel.

Do not send identity documents or sensitive personal information unless specifically requested through an appropriate, secure process. Consult the Privacy Policy for data retention, export, and deletion details.

Allowed

  • Deleting your account through settings.
  • Requesting help with an account you can no longer access.

Not allowed

  • Deleting and recreating accounts to bypass moderation.
  • Attempting to have another person's account deleted without authorization.

6Platform Features & Developer Tools

Guideline 6.2

Developer Tools, APIs, and Integrations

GTAPoliceMods provides developer-focused tools and may offer APIs or integrations to help creators manage their releases, connect approved applications, and interact with supported platform features. These services must be used responsibly and only for their intended, documented purposes.

When using developer tools, APIs, or integrations, members must:

  • Follow published requirements: Respect applicable documentation, permissions, usage quotas, and rate limits.
  • Protect access credentials: Keep API keys, tokens, and other credentials secure. Do not publish, share, or use another person's credentials without authorization.
  • Respect user privacy: Access, collect, and use only information you are permitted to obtain. Do not expose private account details, moderation information, or other non-public data.
  • Represent integrations accurately: Clearly identify third-party applications and do not imply they are officially developed, approved, or endorsed by GPM unless that is true.
  • Maintain platform integrity: Do not manipulate download counts, views, ratings, reports, rankings, or other community features using scripts, automated requests, or coordinated activity.

The availability of a developer API does not authorize automated member accounts, bulk scraping, bypassing security controls, or other actions prohibited by the Terms of Use. Automation is permitted only through features and access methods expressly authorized by GPM.

Unauthorized access, attempts to bypass restrictions, malicious code, disruptive requests, and misuse of platform data are prohibited. Suspected security vulnerabilities should be reported privately to security@gtapolicemods.com; these guidelines do not grant permission to conduct security testing.

GTAPoliceMods may limit, suspend, or revoke access to developer tools or integrations when necessary to address violations, protect the platform, or maintain service reliability.

Allowed

  • Using official developer tools to manage your own uploads and releases.
  • Connecting an application through a documented, authorized integration.
  • Accessing information your account is permitted to use within published API limits.
  • Privately reporting a potential security issue to security@gtapolicemods.com.

Not allowed

  • Sharing, exposing, stealing, or misusing API keys or access tokens.
  • Scraping platform data in bulk or bypassing rate limits or access controls.
  • Automating fake downloads, views, ratings, reviews, or other engagement.
  • Accessing another member's private information or impersonating an official GPM service.
  • Running unauthorized bots or testing platform security without permission.
