FivePD installs like any other FiveM resource, with a database beside it. You need a working FiveM server first; if you haven't added a resource before, read Installing a FiveM resource.

Before you start

  • A FiveM server that starts and that you can join.
  • Access to its files and its server.cfg.
  • A MySQL or MariaDB database the server can reach.

Install it

  1. Download the latest FivePD release and unpack it.

  2. Copy the fivepd folder into your server's resources folder.

  3. Import the .sql file that comes with the release into your database.

  4. Add the database connection line and the start line to server.cfg:

    ensure fivepd

  5. Restart the server and watch the console while it starts.

Check that it loaded

The console says when FivePD has started and names anything it couldn't load. Join the server and open the duty menu. If the menu doesn't open, see FivePD doesn't start.

Updating

Back up the fivepd folder and your database before you replace anything. Keep your config files and your callouts and plugins folders, and read the release's changelog for steps that version needs.
