FivePD doesn't start

Work out why FivePD isn't loading on your server or why its menu won't open.

Start with the server console. FivePD says what it couldn't load, and that line is usually the answer.

The resource isn't found

The console says it couldn't find the resource. Check that:

  • the folder is in resources and is named exactly what server.cfg starts;
  • the folder holds the resource's files directly, not a second folder of the same name from unpacking;
  • the ensure line isn't commented out.

It starts, then reports database errors

FivePD can't reach its database. Check the connection line in server.cfg, that the database is running, and that you imported the SQL file from the same release you installed.

It worked until you added a callout or plugin

Take out the last file you added to callouts or plugins and restart. If that fixes it, the add-on was built for a different FivePD version or is missing something its readme lists. See Adding callouts and plugins.

It stopped after a FiveM or game update

Update your server build and FivePD to their latest releases. An old FivePD on a new server build, or the other way round, is a common cause.

You're a player and the menu won't open

That's the server's to fix. Ask in that server's Discord; the people who run it can see the console.
